why that's not called "1st stamp" ? I must have missed that meeting.

YES Sure looks a 1st stamp to me. And 18" I'd say pretty rare.

I was leaning toward pre-trans stamp "second".

That's a great find. It is a pre trans stamp model. This stamp varies from the "first" stamp where the second I in Zildjian is short instead of full length. Some refer to this as a "second" stamp.

Hopefully learns to play it.

He did a quick File. has that old-timey symetrical hammered Zildjian sound

From slingerfan

I was leaning toward pre-trans stamp "second".

Yes pre-trans is what I call it, but some call it the "2nd" stamp. This isn't one of the "first" stamps (which I have named 30's stamps), because in the 1930's trademarks heavier print is sued in the Arabic script. There are other differences but that's the probably the easiest to differentiate.

As for this example, there's at least one and probably 2 artisan trademark identifiers present. The upper one is called a "comma" and the one below may be one or another type, but I'd have to see it more clearly to tell which for sure. There are at least 5 types of these and maybe as many as 7. Five so far have been given names.
