I'm wondering what the story is with this stamp; Is this cymbal from the 50s large stamp era, even if it has the three dots?
The cymbal (not in my possession) has lathing and hammering that are consistent with 50s era cymbals.

i'm not sure on the size of the stamp, but the hollow block 50's stamp has 3 dots in it. some of the early 60's 3 dot stamp cymbals appear to have hammering much like the late 50's cymbals to me.

I may suppose there are three 50's large stamps.
Perhaps, JP posted those pics on DFO.
#1 1" 3/4 with block letter
#2 1" 3/4 with 3 dots
#3 1" 3/4 without 3 dots
That's consistent with what I thought, but wasn't sure. I've had several block, transitional, and small stamp cymbals, but never any pre-block large stamps.

I've also had only block stamp and small stamp cymbals. But I've sometimes come across large stamps at Maxwell.
