A "rare" Rogers Luxor on eBay - only $9,995!
Here is a copy of the listing and a pic for future reference...
Very Rare 60's Vintage Rogers Luxor Black Onyx Pearl Snare Drum 5"x 14" . This may be the best Black Onyx Pear Luxor Wood Snare Drum left on the Planet, from the early 60's. Having said that, there are some wear marks on the rims but very small, with no rust. The Original wrap has no marks and no cracking. The lugs are also pristine with great shine and luster with no rust or pitting. The rest of the hardware looks to be original and also in great shape. The bottom head might be the original, the top head has been replaced by a vintage remo. The Drum also sounds awesome! I will entertain best offers on this rare piece! Thanks for looking.
Price: $9995.00

Hahahahahahahaha......Thanks for posting a great joke for early on a Sunday morning.
Wow. A bargain at twice the price!
The owner of that drum must think that it's comparable to the upside down airplane postage stamp to a stamp collector.
Hey, look!
I found another one of those extremely rare Luxor’s. $5.00 at a yard sale.
I figure it’s a golden ticket lol made my morning almost choked at breakfast

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
Do ya think that I can get a measly $8,000 for my Oaklawn-made Camco Tuxedo snare drum in original factory White 3-D Moire wrap? After all, it's one of the entry level drums in a wrap that was used mostly for the upper line Camco drums. And, look at that rare beer tap snare strainer! I would not entertain any offers under $7,500.
