A new kit in town

Loading...

I just wanted to share my latest find with you guys

As far as I understand they have to be from the 70's as they obviously have the re-rings

and the badge position is typical.

Any chance to find out the exact manufacturing year?

Serial numbers are

22 BD 88921

16 FT 88974

13 TT 89029

12 TT 89042

No snare included.

I'm not going to refinish them to get a "from the factory" state.

Just cleaning and polishing the chrome of course.

I kinda like it when an instrument looks well played and used...

Any thoughts and comments are welcome.

My 82 non-rering Supers are in the same scritchy-scratchy state. I'll be watching the progress if you post it...

Be careful taking them apart. The mounting screw bosses on those lugs can be thin and crumbly.

Definitely a nice score with the re-rings. Exact year is hard to pin point. My best guess is somewhere between '76 and '79.

Is the bass drum 14" or 15" deep? The first versions had a 15" deep bass drums. Have fun with them.
