Richie what had the biggest effect on the grungy spot? The scrubbing bubbles or Novus? My Rogers kit has rust stains where all the mounts were. I was unable to get them off but would love to if possible.
Mark great results with the BKF. I add some Dawn to it and make a slurry and have at it with the toothbrush. Recently did some knobby floor mounts and legs and they look fantastic!
Here`s a before and after pic of a claw that came off a 1954 Ludwig & Ludwig marching snare...I used a wire wheel on a bench grinder and after, I used a j e w e l l e r`s cloth for the final polish...Great thread!!Cheers
That's how I got all the crud off the parts on the Walburg & Auge kit! For extreme corrosion like that, a buffing station is the best solution. You just have to be careful not to blow through the chrome layer with the wire wheel. Takes a very soft touch, good steady hands.

Glenn, I'd have to say the Scrubbing Bubbles was the real muscle. I know rust spots on the finish can be tough. I had to scrub and scrub and scrub but eventually the rust spot broke apart. Once you see it break up, it is literally gone in a matter of seconds.
