My 1973's Premier 303 drum kit with 2000 steel snare is ready! Finally!

I bought the drum kit in quite good shape but it was needed to restore en clean up the kit.

The shellset is made of 3 plies Mahogany with reinforcement rings made of Birch.

The bearing edges were needed to be repared.

All chrome and wrap has been cleaned up very preciously.

Missing and/or worn spare parts were replaced so the kit is restorated in original conta

- the PD392 oval tube double tom holder

- some tom brackets are replaced because of worn mounting screws.

- All worn mountings screws of the lugs in the bass drum are replaced with original screws.

- 2 tone controllers in the toms are replaced. One was missing. The other was pretty rusted and ugly.

- all floor tom legs with brackets were stagg parts. These are replaced with original ones.

- the snare was first missing a slotted rod screw which is now back.

Results are wonderful. After restoration the kit is now in very good shape.

Look at the picture and judge for yourselves.

Special thanks to Kris Demey. He did a wonderful job! Next to restoring drums, Kris mainly makes his own high quality custom drums.

Wow! Not only does it look superb but those three-ply african mahogany shells are second to none for cool woody vibe.

Any advice on this 1973 Premier 303 in "Sliver Star" finish I picked up 6 weeks ago? The finish has peeled off in parts on the bass. All the original stands are present. The bearing edges on the bottoms need works as they were used as "power toms" A few of the slotted lugs and L-arm adjusters are missing. Chrome is in good shape. A very restorable kit but need some supplies and advice on the wrap.

Cheers!

Kelly
