1992 Premier Projectors

The kit came with a 5.5x14 Premier Wood Snare that I've yet to identify. It also came with a Premier Hi Hat stand and a pair of Premier 252 Single Post pedals. I've got the kit set up with my Slingerland Festival snare, Pearl Eliminator pedals, Yamaha Hi Hat stand, all my Zildjians and a couple of cymbal stands.

I'm not sure what you mean by "beefed-up" but if you're referring to how well they sound, all I can say is, "damn!" They certainly nailed it when they called them Projectors. They're bright and loud. The BDs are like shotguns. I've never owned Premier drums before but couldn't resist the deal on this mint kit. Now that I've been playing them, I'm impressed.

I did the garage-band thing for a while and, that Bass and what looks like a small Pevey are no match for those drums !!

Ha Ha! The bass is just a junker of mine but don't underestimate the Peavey. The band's called the Rockaholics. Check us out:

The kit in the video is my old Slingerland kit. I'll post some new video with the Premiers within the next couple of weeks. And, yes, the new kit was a sweet deal.

As far as I know the snare drum originally came with the kit. However, I can't seem to match it up with any of the snare drums listed in the 1992 catalog. The closest looks like the 2055 but I don't think it's a Signia.

I like the drum although I don't care for the rim design (rim shots suck) and I can't imagine why they wouldn't put a damper in it. The strainer works on the same principal as the Dynasonic but with a differently engineered mechanism.
