I know nothing about yamaha drums but this is made in japan and it's pretty cheap. approx what year do you think? tags just say yamaha and serial #.

seems to be mahogany (cheap asian?)

any info is of much help

That looks like an 80's Stage Series Yamaha.

I had that same set in black!

The shells were Phillipine Mahogany in the early 80's, then in the late 80's they added an inner layer of birch.
