I posted on it too. The big question was why you never see smaller non power toms. I think the lug placement right in the middle of this eagle shows there's just no room for it.

This is probably a cut down power tom done by the factory to use up the shells they had leftover from the 75th anniversary kits. Either that or it was a factory second. Either way, the lugs drilled the way they were most likely happened after the wrap was applied. Ludwig was pretty particular about the placement of the lugs on the eagle shells.

I don't ever recall Ludwig offering the 75th anniversary shells in a concert tom format either. Either way, an interesting discovery to say the least. Cool1
