I've got a neat 80's Ludwig kit that I'm consigning for a friend. It has some issues but has all original parts minus bass one drum hoop. Sizes are 22, 13, 16 all in standard depths which is awesome for an 80's kit. The chrome is all good (minus the tom arm) and just needs a polish. A few rust spots on the floor tom hoop. This finish seems to be a pretty rare bird as I can't find it listed in any Ludwig catalogue from the time. I'm selling this kit for a friend. $725 CDN plus shipping. I could drive down to North Dakota to ship to the CONUS.

Issues:

- 1 unorginal bass drum hoop which has silver sparkle inlay. It is a ludwig hoop and I do however have the original white marine pearl inlay to go with it. This hoop is also in need of a crack repair.

- Bass drum wrap is cracked in two places and you can see the glue below.

- Floor tom has a section of wrap pealed off on the back side. Not a huge section but noticeable for sure.

- Some of the lugs need a cleaning, not really an issue just something that needs to be done.

- A couple of pinholes in the floor tom bearing edge and one small dent.

- Minor bit of rust on one of the floor tom hoops.

- Where the wrap is riveted down on this kit is lifting a little see pics.

- All the wrap issues seem to be because of how ludwig used to rivet the wraps during this period. Not a very good way of doing it at all!

Good things:

- All mufflers and badges intact.

- Edges on the rack tom and kick are nice.

- chrome is all good and just needs a cleaning.

- New ish bottom heads which are ambassadors.

- powerstroke 3 that is in good shape on the batter side of the kick.

- Wrap is not yellowed except for one little spot near the floor tom dampener knob.

- Original legs.

- I have the tom arm for this and original legs.

This is a great project kit in some great sizes!
