Here is one of my current gigging kits. A vintage 1970's nine piece Slingerland in Maple. Includes vintage 60's and 70's Zildjian cymbals, mid 70's Spectrasound Mark Tree, and a vintage 70's Syndrum Twin. Bought the Slingerland kit used back in 1979, used it throughout the 80's, and just brought it out of storage six months ago to play again with the new band I'm in. This thing is FUN to play!!!

Early 60's WMP Slingerland Model 1N "Krupa Kit" 9X13, 16X16, 16X18, 14X22, 1956 WMP Student Radio King.

Very cool late 70's kit. I would hate to have to set this bad boy up each gig.

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

Thanks everyone! Setting up is not too bad as I cheat and don't breakdown the hardware. I just remove the cymbals, toms, and other items off the stands and then load them into the back of my pick-up truck. To set up I just take out the stands, put everything back on, and finished! What does take some time is wiring up all the electronics. It takes usually around 45 minutes to get it all up and running.

I'm 55 years old and this may be my last chance to play the great 70's and 80's classics that my band covers. This drum kit is period correct for all that music so I don't mind the extra setup time. You should see the smile on peoples faces when they hear those Syndrums and hand claps on some Disco song or the gated reverb snare on a Phil Collins tune. It's well worth it!!
