70s Premier D717 concert tom set conversion

Loading...

I got this kit over a year ago, orginally the set up was 13x9, 14x10, 15x12 and 16x15 single head concert toms with a regular 18x16 floor tom and 24x14 bass drum.

After recutting the reso side bearing edges on the concert toms, I drilled and fitted matching reso lugs and converted the 16x15 into a floor tom. The tom holder I made up from a rare triple tom version of the double holder that was only available in 1976/7 and married it to a Lokfast heavy duty model stand.

Thanks guys, I forgot to mention (as the pictures don't really do the set justice), the wrap is gold sparkle with a red sparkle centre band. the gold has "matured" as Premier gold spark does; a little yellowed with dark flecks here and there.
