Thanks everyone. Yes, these kits can go for very little money. This one was $80. It took about another $100 (including heads) and plenty of elbow grease to bring it back to life. Now that I see it was worth it, I'll definitely be doing some more of these.

As many of us do, I have to thank Jonnistix for sharing his knowledge about these drums.

Man, those sound amazing Potsey! They are both tightened up and looking great. I have no idea why, but my WMP kit has a tonal range at least two octaves below earthquake level. Can't get 'em tuned in the higher ranges, but hey, when you want to move the earth, you gotta have lows....electricit
