I got the drum together recently and have gotten to play it a bit. WOW. It sounds even better than I thought it would. I am very happy with this acquisition.

I suspect it may be Bronze and not Brass based on the coloring inside the lip of the drum. Regardless, it sounds fantastic, and that is all I care about.

Thanks Mark. I haven't the Ludwig Reso head yet. The Remo on there allows the wires to completely disengage and play the drum without the snare wire sound. BUT, if you hit harder you will heaer the wires snap. I am sure the Ludwig head will eliminate that issue.

I also havea new Ambassador for the batter. Hoping to put them on this weekend. The Aquarian 2 ply Heavy head is nice and controls the ring really well, but I think I will like the Ambassador head better for more ring and better stick feel.
