70's Ludwig cow snare

Loading...

I'm looking at a 70's Ludwig chrome over wood snare. It has 8 bow tie lugs and the original round 70's muffler. I don't think it's a Rocker because of the lugs and the Superphonic style muffler. So what is it? Also was there ever chrome over wood 3 ply? I was told that it's all original. I'm trying to read the serial # either it's 9095895 or 3095895. Thanks.

Yeah cow was a finish just like any other, and they were still making "jazz festival" snares in the 70's. so long as it has a blue and olive badge.

I think that the ludalloy snares were just way more common in that era, not to mention it just seems odd to order a wood snare and then wrap it in chrome.

I like Drums...

1976 Ludwig Vistalite clear
