`66 Ludwig tension rods

Loading...

Can somebody tell me what the correct tension rods for a `66 acrolite 5x14

would be?

I have a drum with 3 different styles on it. I don't have it here to measure them, but some have almost all threads with no shoulder, and the other two styles have either a short shoulder or a long shoulder.

A photo of the correct style rod would be all I need.

Matt... when I get home I dig out my '63 Acro and see if that can give us a clue... I don't know for sure all my rods are original on that drum.

I'll snap a photo and take few measurements.Bump

My '68 has rods that are 1 5/8" long from ring to tip

(not including washer/with washer removed)

The shoulder, non-threaded section is 3/8".

Thanks for the replies.

Yes, those look like the rods that I thought were correct. When assembled, tha shoulder is about the same "height" as the hoop.

Half of mine are incorrect, but that is easy to fix, and won't break the bank.
