65 Ludwig BOP Last viewed: 2 minutes ago

Hey, I'm going to Tulsa today to pick up a Pearl set... and am going to take a look at a 1965 Ludwig Black Oyster Pearl set with cymbals and cases and at really good price (so it seems). There are a couple of mods on the BD, but if it's anywhere near the seller's description of condition, the price is good!

IF I buy this, I'd be looking to turn it ASAP...

Anyone interested? Sorry, no pics at this time...

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Sorry, false alarm I guess.

The set looked like blue oyster pearl to me (the owner didn't agree), and had some major "wear" issues. With the dollars he wanted, no-way I could justify it.

Didn't come home empty-handed, as the Pearl set I picked up for next-to-nothing was a near complete W-5 kit from the late 70s (see http://www.vintagedrumguide.com/images/pearl_drumsets/1978_pearl_drumsets6.jpg). Needs new wrap, but well worth it...
