The drums came out fantastic for your first !!

The drums are also wearing a bad tie,....loose that snare, it don`t even match the white !!

Thanx guys.

I'm pretty pleased. Was a very long project but super fun.

Oddball:can't loose the snare. It has special sentimental value.

I know many think it's a no no not to have a matching snare.

Pretend it's chrome. lol

So, your drums may not be in perfect vintage condition, or have all the correct vintage details but.....

They look absolutely great!

I bet they sound just as good as they look.

Dont bother with details, just play them....;)

Awesome kit!

Cool1Clapping Happy2:cool:

Details are important.

Even the cosmetic one's but YES.

They are drum, musical instruments.

It's extremely nice to have a set that is vintage original, factory fresh.

BUT.

The sound is EVERYTHING and man these are SWEET!!!!!

Tuned wide open, pins all around, G1 coated resos, ported base, coated powerstroke 3 on snare/ ludwig X thin clear on batter side.

They sound like every classic recording in your head.

I'm glad that the shellac coat inside gave the brightness I was wanting.

EVERY good local drummer here(some of whom have pretty nice kits costing ALOT more) LOVES this kit and would totally gig it.

That speaks volumes.

and yes, they turned out beautifully. They show their age but are very well maintained.

thx again all.
