I got the parts that were out for zinc plating. Nice job and fair price by the way.

13" tom was glued and is already drying

Ok. I took off the clips. *snare roll* ... Success!

As you might notice in the pictures, I put tape arround the crack to keep the wood clean. The glue that overflowed when clipping dried on the tape.

After 24h+ I removed the clips and tape easily. The surface is almost completly clean, just a thin line of glue on the crack (I will clean it later).

Next step will be the outsite repair. I have a tiny bit of White marine pearl but it does not cover all the damage. Part of it was broken when the previous owner damaged the tom. I thought in cut a little piece of wrap close to the bearing edge to make a surgery but in the end the damage would be even more noticeable, due to color and pattern differences. I guess I will improvise...

Wrap polish:

More polish. I used the Novus plastic polish 2 and 1. Polished by hand

After think many ways to fill the hole in wrap, like cutting a strip of wmp wrap under a lug or bottom of bass drum hoop, I decided just to fill it with some material with similar color.

I ended up trying to achieve a similar uniform color with nail polish and then seal it with clear epoxy. The final result is not perfect but it is sealed and protected. It is almost unnoticeable from certain distance.
