60's Sonor Blue Onyx

Loading...

Back in the 60's sonor had a throne that looks like a tall skinny drum with a seat pad on top. I wish I had some wrap like mine to build be a throne like that. Do you think your wrap could be used for that?

Good idea, but I'm not sure there would be enough wrap. 16x16 wrap would not yield a throne tall or fat enough. You could maybe snag another chunk of it and do a tight join seam...that might work. Seriously good idea, though. I never considered picking up a Keller shell and building one of those. Nice.

It's a shame that that wrap can't be salvaged. Sometimes surgery is necessary to bring the patient back to health...

I saw a whole kit like mine go on ebay a little while back. The wrap looked just like kelly's all of them. i wish i had thought about that then I might have been able to get the old wrap off of the drums and piece together enough to make that throne. That sonor throne doesnt look very practable. I just want it anyway lol. I thik Ludwig had a similar throne back then.

Is that correct?

Yep,

Ludwig made a canister throne too. You can find them ever so often on Eflay.

What a concept...carry your hardware in your throne!
