60s Slingy Bop Kit

Loading...

I'm going to check out a Slingy set this weekend. The owner claims that it is a black and gold badged Niles era kit, sizes 12-14-18 with matching snare in champagne sparkle. With complete set of same vintage A. Zildjian cymbals (2X18, 22, 8, 2XHH) and all stands.

Sounds to me like a highly desirable kit! He claims that it is in excellent shape, and is asking $1500. Seems like a lot of money, but I'm guessing that these kits are fairly uncommon, and the asking price is probably justified.

OK, Slingy gurus - what say ye?

[COLOR="DarkRed"]With cymbals, in good shape...and with snare ? In THAT color wrap ?

It's actually a GOOD price....

If it is an original factory 18" bass, not one which someone converted (look inside the shell see if there are any extra holes or filled holes).....

Then there aren't many of those around at all......

I mean, the cymbals alone, if '60's A's...are worth about $400-500.....

electricit ca$h advance off of your card, and grab 'em....

I'd agree. Of course, I'm also on the look for a kit just like that. Black and gold badged 18" kicks are pretty rare beasts.
