No,I don't think it's a steal. It's a fair price. Pro is mahogany with no extra holes -con is single tension.

agreed $200.00 is not a great price, I converted mine to a double tension model. easy to do just replaced the original sound king lugs and tension rods. but not cheap. if you can get this drum for $125.00 or so that would be a good price but single tension bass drums sound great.
