60s Premier Snare

Hello: My first set of drums were a 60s Premier kit. I never tried to date them or did any research at all on them. I only have the snare left and have restored it with spare parts and covered it temporarly with a Bowling ball Oyster Black Pearl to try to match my vintage ludwigs with any obp wraps available. I know now that Percision drums have the wrap I need.

My question to anyone with knowledge of vintage Premier kits is, as I was restoring the snare there was a "S" stamped on the inside edge near the bearing edge. I assumed the "S" meant Sparkle as the kit was a gold sparkle wrap, am I right in that assumption or does it denote something else?

You can see the snare in a previous post as " Oyster Black Pearl" on the restoration site. TOM

The "S" was to indicate to the workshop where the snare bed was to be cut. Sometimes they'd screw up and put it elsewhere.
