60's Premier Connoisseur Snare Drum

Loading...

Hi!

This drum seems to be a collector item! But is it a good snare also?

I read that is more for symphonic and concert playing. Should it be good to use in a Brass Band?

I have a the 2000 Premier steel snare drum. Is there any diffirence in sound? because the snare looks quite the same.

Maybe there are people here know lot more about it...

Thinking of buying one from my Cousin Paul?, it's a great drum, but remember it has gut snares, it's not a heavy metal drum, very sensitive

AND highly collectable. Since their inception, I've only ever seen 4 of them

Paul Kiely, right? I guess it's a great drum. I'm looking for a sensitive snare drum which I can use for playing in our Brass Band, to have more a concert snare drum sound.

Yepper, Cousin Paul, I don't know about playing in a brass band, I never played in one so I don't know what the sound dynamics would be
