60's Ludwig tom mounts

Loading...

I have just bought a '64 Ludwig bass drum. The entire rail/tom mount is for a 'sleeve mount' tom. Today I bought a '69 tom which has an 'L-arm' (more modern) fitting - like a bass drum spur fitting.

If I buy an 'L-arm', will it slot into the same fitting which currently holds the 'straight-arm-with-fixed-tab', or do I need an entire new 'consolette'?

I do hope this makes sense. I'm new to the Ludwig scene - but very keen.

Thank you for your time. - PK.

I think it will fit into the same slot. It's a stock W&A part that all the companies used.
