60's ludwig blue sparkle snare

Can some one id this 1960's ludwig blue sparkle snare. Looks like a 3 ply maple. What would the value be also on something like this. I have have no info on the badge or serial number

Scott this is a wfl not a ludwig! take a pic of the p-83 close up also are there extra holes behind the p-83? and is there no badge?

Looks like a pioneer model(6 lugs). Very good chance that the strainer was switched out considering the throw off is chrome and everything else looks to be nickel.It is most likely a 50's WFL(Due to the very dark blue sparkle)..but there is a chance it is a transition snare from 58-59 with the transition badge.

Drumbum you told me you study Ludwig catalog's daily know them by heart, what is the model number of the butt end?? you still thumbing thru your catalogs looking for the part number???????? cuz you ain't gonna find it!!

I actually don't own one vintage Ludwig catalog...why is everyone fighting tonight. I'd say in my opinion the snare is worth around $100 in this condition...give or take a a little.

Let me see the interior of this snare. It looks like something else to me, and you may not want to hear it, but that shell looks like a MIJ shell. I have a stack of them, and they most look like this. It looks like mahogany from here. That bright blue is also oddly familiar to me...A close up of the interior is needed, indeed. That butt plate looks like a MIJ copy of a Slingerland. And if it is an MIJ shell....then 100 is all the money in the world. It is not uncommon to have people put good parts on these shells. It may very well sound great, but if it ain't the real deal, then it ain't worth much.

Drumbum3131,I owe you an apology, I stated that you stated that you read Ludwig catalog's Daily, I went back to our Initial Introduction, and what you stated is that you stated that you study 60's Ludwig drums daily and that you know almost everything there is to know about Ludwig drums, My bad!! also you stated you are young what is your age? and Do you know the model# of the butt end on this drum?
