Here is the link to a Cleveland CL ad that showed up yesterday. Seems like a motivated seller, but I don't think I could polish another drum part any time soon. They look like a good candidate for restoration to me, but I don't know enough to say if they could be flipped for a profit at that price.

Drums could definitely be flipped for a better price, If sold separately, maybe even together..
Although the vintage Pearl mounts and modern spurs ruin the value of the bass drum and toms.
That was done a lot in those days, in favor of more sturdy tom mounts.
You'd also have to restore the hoops to it's original state.. It looks like the inlay on the hoops
were painted over with black paint, which can easily be removed..
I'm no Gretsch expert, but the Gretsch guys on this forum can easily help you with
the the kit's potential.. You may offer the guy less and see what he says..
That looks like a serious restoration project in some ways, and then you have to find a floor tom in blue sparkle that matches in shade. If it was me, I would pass, unless you got a spectacular deal.
Thanks guys. I really don't have the time to do a restoration project during the school year so I'll likely pass on it. If it's still around next spring, I'll make an offer. That's not even a joke...so much of what is on our local CL has been there forEVER...you would think that re-listing a bent up $5 trumpet mouthpiece would get old after a few years.

I have bought and sold A LOT of Gretsch kits and flipped a few. For me I would not pay more than $300 for that. Between the parts, the mods and so on I would pass.
