60's Apollo set with matching snare on....

Loading...

That's a shame, I just sold this snare to a guy a month ago. Although it's not Apollo, I think it would of been a good match

From Kenwood

Hello I know this thread is super old But I just bought this blue satin flame Apollo kit (20"12"13"16")They are being shipped to me here in Rhode Island from IndianaThe drums are in real decent shape, from what I can see from the pictures But I will be looking for a matching snare drum, and both spurs, and whatever sort of cymbal arm that would fit the somewhat odd looking attachment on the bass drum??If anyone has anything please contact me Thanks ..Kenwood

Hello Father Time

and Thank You for the reply .........OH HECK YES!!!

That snare drum would have been a really awesome match

in terms of the color and fun to play too ..^5's

I should add that I have a small mountain of parts so

a blue satin flame shell with nothing else would still be just fine

preferably Apollo but anything blue satin flame would be a go

Jeeze, I' m starting to think that these sets (like Skylab) are falling from the sky. Just gigged mine last night for the very first time. Sounded pretty good, too. All I'm missing is the front hoop (originally metal- threw this wood 20" I had lying around on to make them usable.)

I like how they stole the Teardrop lugs and claws and rods off Sonor, and the Slingerland copy BD spurs!

Hello Mookie thanks for the reply

He man those drums look great ..

I like the way the natural wood hoop looks with them

Hey blairndrums the tear drop lugs are super cool

I have a 16" bdp Stewart floor tom with the same ones

except in that case all reso side lugs are missing grrrrr!!!

I do have some extra bass drum sized tear drops

but of course the hole spacing is larger

the spurs now those are going to be a challenge

I just got the shipping charges for the four pieces

bass, two toms, and floor tom, packed in one box

Shipped from Indiana to Rhode Island by way of the U.S. postal service ..$36.10

Kenwood- I posted this already in another thread, but I only got these last Saturday off CL and paid $30 for them, with some non-matching stuff (2 snares and 13" rack) as well as some hardware and a Pearl pedal. I did have to drive an hour into the woods of Wisconsin to get them, and there was MUCH cleaning and sorting to get them like this. Crazy.

Mookie hello again

WoW!! that is a sensational deal on those Apollos

even with the few shortcomings and the long drive through the stix

My seller was asking 200.00

I offered 150.00 he accepted and was really super agreeable to shipping them to me ..so all in so far they stand me $186.10
