5x14 Slingerland Du-All

Loading...

Hi All,

Well here it is finaly, my Chicago show aquisition for this year. Slingerland 5x14 Gold sparkle 1934 Du-All.

Five days of solid cleaning, soaking, and a few swear words, and sore aching fingers, the Du-All is done. It wasn't in bad shape, just 70 years of muck and a litle fust on some of the screws and that's it.

Anyone else finished restoring there drums from chicago yet?

Enjoy the shots.

Thanks again for lending that to the Slingerland Booth at the Chicago Drum Show. The booth was a major history extravaganza for Slingerland and that drum was the earliest snare drum in the booth.

David,

It was my pleasure to show off the drum my friend. I just wish I could have cleaned it first and had it looking like it is now.

Those cookies were delicious by the way !! Thanks.

Wayne,

the drum came from a fellow collector in Canada. I'm ok posting the gentleman's name but, I'm not sure he would appreciate or want me to post is, sorry.

fantastic drum!

I was checking out Jim's Messina's website, and saw the video of you talking about this drum.

It looks great, I can only imagine what drum you'll pick up at the Chicago show next year!
