59' Slingerland kit w/ Radio King snare Last viewed: 1 day ago

Well....I've decided to part ways with my beloved SlingerlandsCryBaby The sizes are 14x22" bass drum, 9x13" tom, 16x16" (actually 1960 year) floor tom, and 5.5x14" 1 ply Radio King snare. The color is Light Blue Pearl.

The condition of the drum shells and wrap is really good for it's age. Remo heads fit well on all drums. Please PM me your email for pictures, because I have alot, haha. I will try and post a general picture of the kit later tonight. The color is slightly grayed on all of the drums except the floor tom which is slightly yellowed. The seams are all tight. The edges are pretty nice with the exception of one spot on the 13" which is actually not too bad....just the most noticable spot. The only thing that is not in descent shape are the bass hoops which don't even look as though they came from this set due to the condition. The wood hoops function fine, but have paint chipping, 12" piece of inlay missing, and scuffs. Chrome is in average shape as well. All tom/snare hoops and lugs are COB stick savers.

The snare beds on the snare were redone by Ross Garfield of the Drum Doctors because they were incorrect from the factory. The re-rings and edges are all great. The 1ply shell is very slightly out of round, but Remo heads fit fine. I have also modified a Trick strainer & butt to fit the original holes. The original "clamshell" super strainer is also included.

The cymbal L-arm needs a wing screw but is all there besides that. The tom arm is in rough shape but works. I have replace the floor tom leg mounts with 70's mounts and legs which provide better sound. The originals are included and work 100% without slipping. I also have the Krupa hihat stand which I have been using, but needs a new clutch and bottom cymbal support. The AA bass pedal is also included, which I modified/repaired to have a solid foot board and nylon strap. I also have soft cases for all of the drums as well.

I have really cared for these and would like for them to go to a great home which is why I am only selling them here:D I have never giged them out and keep them in a climate controlled environment. I would like to get around $1300 for everything, but don't know their exact value. In either case I would like it to be fair for both parties. Feel free to shoot me a reasonable offer. My description is about as accurate as I could give, but I may have missed something so please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Here is a picture of the kit. I did not include everything in the pictures, but simply tried to represent the look of the drums the best that I could. Enjoy!

No one wants 'em so I'm going to keep the Slingy's. I still love them.....it probably would have felt like cheating on the wife anyway, haha.
