Agree with above.And remember this was a "transitional" time for Ludwig so it was really anything goes in the factory. And you could probably order the drums with what you would like just like now. Thanks for all the comments. This kit SINGS! :)

I agree they sing. I love the sound. Your kit is virtually identical to my WMP set except for the wrap color and floor tom legs and hardware. By 1962 the tom legs and hardware had changed. Your floor tom legs look like the earlier WFL legs. These drums have the look and sound I lusted after as a young teen, (I turned 14 in 1960). However, I could never afford them back then.
