Too funny on the stool. My son wanted to how old it was and I told him it was the original for the kit and he said, "I really for sorry for guy that had to play on that thing." LOL!!

The finish is good but not great, it has the usual nics etc. but it's going to be a player. I took the drums apart, polished the chrome with nevr-dull and the drums with Murphys wood oil, and shined the paint with Mother's instant detailer and the Mother's worked like a charm on bringing the shine back.

I have all the original parts for the kit including the bass pedal, snare stand, and a really cool little splash cymbal.

There was a kit like that on the Chicago CL a while back. Would that be it?? The dw's look good also, I have a soft spot in my heart for them.

No I got this one a couple of weeks ago off the Dallas CL. $300. The guy that I got them from paid $50 for them at a garage sale. I love my DW's. My son's daily kit is a Gretsch...he's the real player in the family..

This is him at the House of Blues in January.

The mystery snare looks like a '20s or '30s Slingerland student type model. If the bead is slightly pointy, it's a Slingerland. If not, it may be a Leedy from the same era. They both had throw offs that mounted with four screws.

Pretty sure it's Slingerland. I have all the original parts including the shurgip throw. It was black when I got it but the finish was in really bad shape so I put paint remover on it. I could tell it had been an after market paint job because there was over spray on the inside. It sounds freaking great. Any idea of value?
