50's/60's Royal w/matching snare

This is an unque drumset made in Amsterdam in the late 50's or early 60s. The 2-man company Royal mainly produced snaredrums but also made drumsets to special order. This set is birch with COB hardware all around, the sizes are 22-13-13-16. Yes, there are two 13 inch rack-toms, only one is shown. The snare (completely NOB) matches this kit and is 14 x 6. The original hoops were light blue, but that was not very much to my taste, so I changed for some home made mahogony hoops; I like a little contrast.

Beautiful drums. Glad that you didn't paint over the original blue hoops. I like it both ways. Very nice!
