From Fayray

Well it's nice to know it's rare. It's odd just how many rare things show up on our side of the world. I bought it from a guy selling a beat up Maxtone kit and these hats were sitting loose, propped against the FT in one of the photos.

It's amazing what can be found grouped around some lower level kits.

My best Craigslist find so far was a less than $100 Star 3-piece surrounded by a mint 70's Super-Sensitive, Porto Seat throne, Spur-Lok hat stand, and a Zildjian early sixties cymbal line-up of 22, 16 and 14 inch hats in great condition.

Kinda embarrassed about how little I paid for the whole package......ahem

Congrats on your hats !

I know what you're saying Kevin. I always look to see if there's some nice stuff buried in the dross. I tried to buy a horrible 90s MIC kit last week as it had an early 60s Premier Royal Ace snare with it. Unfortunately the seller wouldn't ship just the snare so it was bought by someone who'll no doubt get frustrated with the snare and wreck it. Ah well.
