This is not my kit but I saw it on CL and thought I would share.

A nice looking BDP 5-piece kit that the seller is asking $350

5 pc. made by Drum Mate (Star, which became Tama). Sound drum wraps with very few scratches/blems. Typical sizes (22x14, 12x10, 13x11, 16x16, 14x5.5"). All parts are original except for replaced drum heads, one bass drum hoop and non-original snare strainer ... All chrome is in good shape, everything works like it should and is high quality. Asking $350.00. I'll consider full or partial trades. Please leave a number to reach you at if you are interested.

I`m having trouble with 16x16 FT with that being a 14x5.5 snare.

Lokks like a 15 snare and 14 FT.

Must have been their higher quality line, 10 lugs on the BD and 8 on the snare & FT. The one that i had was 6 lugs all around.

Keep fixing them up...

Those look like standard depth toms. I'm not aware of any MIJ kits from that era with power depth toms. The floor tom is definitely a 16", because the the two toms above it are 12" and 13", and those two are hoop to hoop when stacked, none of the head is showing (which is what you would expect). The fact that there is some head showing on the FT when they are stacked tells you it's a 16", otherwise the 13" above would be hoop to hoop with it.

As far as the snare goes, I can pretty much guarantee it's a 14". Other than a "child size" kit, I've never seen an MIJ snare that wasn't a 14".

I like that tom holder. My Black Jack kit has the same exact one, although it only has one rack tom. Gretsch copy.

Prolly an illusion but that snare looks bigger than any of the toms.
