$40 Slingerland...Info needed

Okay so I was recomended this site from another so...here goes lol

I just got ahold of a oldy snare,or I think anyway.My step bro/bassist called me 3 days ago and told me his grandpa got ahold of a Tama snare drum and he wanted 40 bucks for it.So im like ok this has to be crap but its a tama...what the hell.So I go over and get it,pay the man I get it back to the house and start looking it over and such..And see the slingerland badge...The thing sounds amazing,puts my old snare to shame...my old ones gettings ebayed.I have emailed Gibson about the drum,and they had no records but gave me a link to rebeats.Rebeats had no information either,Then to MX and now here...

check it out...Im trying to track down when it was made,anyone know anything about it?

Not that we are lazy, but he goes into detail about Slingerland and

he is the authority and then if you have more questions, visit this post and ask them

Yeah I noticed that right after I posted this and thank you btw,So my guess is this drum was made sometime in 1979 and 1980,Im happy with that.

Anyone care to comment on estimated value? I would probably never sell it but im just kind of currious.

Nice score..congrats. I,ve seen them go for 100-160ish on ebay depending on condition.

whats with the bottom heads hoop, is it wood? what kind of head is it? old calf skin possibly?

Yeah the hoop is wood,which is odd...
