That probably was me. I've done both those multiple times, Midstate Fair, Live Oak music fest, Sweet Springs Saloon, Frog & Peach, etc. Most with my surf gig, The Dentures, but I play with alot of people around here.

The Halfway Station between A-town and Morro Bay's been doing smoked tri-tip. Worth doing the gig just to eat there! Aloha from SLO, Bill D.

"Hi all. Here's the skinny on the Ludwigs. I've had them about a year. I bought them from Sam Bolle, Dick Dale's bassist. He bought them from the original owner for a home studio that he never got around to. He had done nothing to the in his ownership. Still had some original heads on when I picked them up. They had been in storage, and I did a lot of cleaning. The original owner played them as a snare/bass combo. He later ordered the toms to match, so the bass has a keystone badge, and the toms b/o badges. All are 3 ply, clear interiors. The bass has Club Date type legs, which are plainly original. I like them better then the collapsing gull-wing spurs. All rims, rods, legs, etc. appear to be original. Weak points: the tom receiver on the bass drum has a hex bolt to replace the wing screw. It also had a crack in the casting I ground out, to keep it from spreading. It's solid, I use it alot of the time, with no issues. The rest of the time, I've played 12/16/22, w/ the tom on a snare stand. My favorite setup lately. The floor tom has two cracks in the wrap @ the seam, one 1" the other 1.5". I carefully and neatly glued them, they are solid, and not notable playing them. Seams are slightly loose. Not enough to warrant regluing, unless it becomes an issue. It'd do more harm then good for the little bit there is. All in all a very nice playing set that looks great on stage. The toms are particularly satisfying. I just got the "new drum jones", and don't have the space to keep everything.

I've done up a dozen pics and placed them on my page, http://www.myspace.com/bill39smusicstuff Aloha, Bill"
