Both habits are not easy to kick!
2nd week no cl Last viewed: 23 hours ago
I found some great drum deals on Facebook. There are "Pages" of local folks selling their gear... Most of the time they are not asking Top Dollar, which already makes it better than CL.
For example, "Chicago Instrument Exchange Chicago" is the page I normally check out. Sorry FP, not trying to add to your addiction. But, I found some super deals from people trying to avoid selling on CL.
These are my favorite things.. and coffee, I really like coffee.
Going to look at these tonite @ 7pm. He's asking $500 for everything in pic!

Seems like a good deal to me! Hope it's as in nice of shape as it appears. Best of luck.
I've found lots of great stuff on CL. Especially the misspelled stuff! Picked up a thrashed and bashed early 70's Ludwig five piece a couple weeks ago for $40.00. The shells were all beyond repair as they all had water damage. But, the hardware was great, as were the hoops surprisingly. It also came with a couple 70's Zildjian A's and 14" late 60's K hats.
Thanks Moonlight, I know how these things go. I spoke to the seller on the phone and he setup the time. Hopefully I'm the first to see it, but you never know till it happens.
Can't quite make out the snare from the only pic he posted. Appears to be wooden/champagne??
I have found some great deals on drums and cymbals on my CL. Just missed these last week. They had them advertised as Zildjian and Evans drums. Looked like a 60's WMP kit with either a jazz fest or Acrolite snare with hardware and Zildjian cymbals. Asking $250. I have found almost 90% of my vintage drums on there.
o well i give in, i need the juice, and if this is the way i go, so be it, no 10 step program help here. cl were r u?
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp
once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
C/L - that's how I started my 'habit'....I bought my very first vintage drums there in 2009.
This beauty...late 50's Gretsch 20/12/14/5,5x14 in Gold Sparkle. They're nice drums. One of the cymbals that came with it is worth more than what I paid for the lot. And the listing was right at home - across the street from where I worked in Nanaimo BC Canada ....imagine that! There are some deals to be had on c/l I guess.
