I've got a 60's 24 that weighs 3587grams. It is a great ride. As matter of fact it is now my main ride. It has a great wash,ping and sweet crash to it.

I would love to have another vintage 24 just because I think they are cool.

When I was a wee tot, I remember going to see Stan Kentons Big Band with Peter Erskine on drums. He used TWO 24s, a ride and crash. I never heard as big a cymbal sound in my life. I'm surprised Buddy Rich didnt use a 24 inch ride with his big band.

Maybe so, but if there was one drummer who could have tamed their sound and made them sing, it was buddy. plus, he played so darn HARD that he probably could get all the tone they had to give.

I payed for it 4 days ago........

thought he was going to have it with him in Lansing when I saw him.

Now he needs to get it from a gig and send it...(fingers crossed)hoping it's a Trans Stamp!
