Every catalog picture I've seen, shows the bass drums with the tone control. Did Gretsch offer a Stop Sign Badge #1 individual lug bass drum without tone control? Was the tone control an option for bass drums?

Tim, yes it was an option to not have one installed the Pratt muffler, I ordered my 1980 Drop G gretsch kit without any mufflers at all bass drum, toms, the entire kit.

Did the default bass drum configuration have the Tone Control installed? If so, did bass drums have to be special ordered to exclude the Tone Control?
