Hi folks,

Just want to share with you a great cymbal that I picked up last weekend.

2002 Black label 20" Flat Ride

Serial: 956340

Weight: 2160 gr.

I'm a huge fan of the Paiste Flat ride cymbals and this one surely didn't disappoint me. Such a musical cymbal,... absolutely beautiful.

Anymore Paiste flat ride fans out there ?!

I am a flat ride fan although I don't own one at the present time. That is a great one for sure. I'm sure you paid a pretty penny for it though. Thanks for posting the pic and congrats!

I have a 602 blue label flat ride. It is the only thing in all my gear that has not changed in over 20 years! Just the most sweet harmonics and when you hit the side it sings. I'd love to hear those 2002s! Nice score!

Thanks fellas,

I currently owe this one and a Paiste 602 flat ride 16".

I tend to switch but I use both of them as 2nd ride,... next to a 22" K-ride or a 22" UFIP.

The price was 150.00, very reasonable I believe for such a quality cymbal.

Beautiful cymbal. Wish we could hear it. I remember looking at one, back in the early-mid 80's....I think. Anyway, great sound.

"150.00" US eaquiv?

Enjoy that flat-boy.

I know this is an old post, but I too am a flat ride fan. Over the years, I leaned towards Turks, Bosphorus and Istanbuls.

One day, a year ago, I came across a Paiste 602 flat/20". Fell in love with the sound. A sound unlike I got out of any of the Turks. I started a love fest with Paiste, sold the Turks. Now own a 20" and 21" Vintage, preSN ride and a 20" 602 flat, a 20" Sig Traditional flat and a 15yr old 2002 flat, also a 20"

I am on a hunt for a 22" Paiste flat now. What I do not understand is, why does the company (Paiste) who invented the flat ride, not offer it up in their current inventory. Would like a Sig 22" flat or a 602
