2002 black label 21"? medium crash/ride

I am looking to get me a 2002 ride for 'general purpose' - for classic rock, blues etc. and also for use in a Zepp tribute project (though I can't affort to go by the 24" monster for now). I found an ad selling the one in the picture here. It says it's a 21" mediu crah/ride. What are your thoughts about this one, would it do a good job as a main ride?

I have a set of 2002 black labels, and I've never seen a 21", they were all even numbers as far as I know. A 2002 medium is a general purpose full bodied crash and a washy ride. What kind of price are they looking to get. I've seen some of the 20 inch Mediums go for a good price.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

BBK,Is 100% correct there are no 21" mediums, only 16"-18"-20" and i own them all, that is if it's stock, it could of been a custom ordered cymbal, paiste will build you any cymbal or any metal contraption you can think up!!!, >>Cool1

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

If it is really 21"....that'd be kinda cool and I would tend to grab it. 21" is a GREAT sized ride cymbal !

Hi,

I'm new to the site.

WOW... what a fantastic find.

I've never seen a 2002 21" black or a 24" black except in my 1979 Paiste catalog. It lists crash, medium and rides in 1 inch increments from 13" to 24". I would like to know what you think of your new cymbal.

BTW Moniker has nothing to do with my drumming!

I'm not sure what you mean. The '79 Paiste catalog lists many sizes in the 2002 line. Are you talking about the 2002 Special Edition Cymbals?

No i was meaning just what i said, I have all their catalogs, but standard listed sizes are 16"-18"-20" the odd size MEDIUM crashes were custom ordered not stock made, thats why you've never seen one a 17"-19"-21'-23"!!!! and also notice the original post there has been no reply as to his find<< but well done on the detective work!!Jumping2

Right... custom order, now I get it.

Thanks for the additional info.

So what about the cymbal?
