Hi folks! What I have here is a 13x9 Slingerland rack tom wrapped in blue sparkle. This drum came with a Rogers kit that I bought, and so this drum was disguised as Rogers. It had a Rogers badge installed into the shell, as well has having Rogers tallboy hoops. I have replaced the hoops and removed the badge to bring it back to originality. I found the correct Rogers drums for the kit, so I don't need this tom anymore.
It is a pre-badge Slingerland drum, so it is from the late 1950's into the early 1960's. There is no date stamp inside of the drum, so I cannot give a specific date for it. The interior is a dark brown color, and the edges are very clean. The hoops are 70's era COS hoops. The tension rods are early Rogers rods with the flat square head. The chrome on all of the lugs are in good shape minus three lugs - the chrome has peeled off of those three lugs.
There are extra holes in the shell for a Rogers Swivo-matic tom mount, drilled over the original diamond plate mount holes. The blue sparkle wrap is starting to lift at the seam, but could be glued back down without trouble.
The drum holds tune beautifully and plays very well. It is an excellent project drum to match your kit.
I'm asking $150 shipped. I don't know what the best price to list this drum is at, so I'm open to offers. The price is not firm. Please feel free to reach out if you're interested.
