That's a cool looking wrap. Back when my son played I bought him a set of Exports and man they sounded great! He sold them to buy a natural maple Mapex kit. Those were nice but think the Pearls sounded better, to me anyway LOL. Good luck on the trip! Car Driving2

Well, the "trip" didn't produce any deals.

Long story, but I'll leave it at that. Maybe I'll get a shot again in a couple of months.

Sorry to hear that Bill. Hopefully you can grab them at a later date. They sure are cool shells and I've never seen that wrap before. Bet they would sound good too. Glenn.

Thanks to the thread starter, I was able to recognise such a kit on a local selling as being a 22/12/13/16 Pearl 'Rising Sun'. I never thought that there exists such an exotic kit here in Germany ... but it did! So I rescued it, before anyone else bought it as a starter's kit (first thing he surely would do is putting a 'cool black wrap' over it ...).

So here's another one for sale (including 14 x 6.5 metal snare drum, matching hihat, foot pedal and cymbal/ boom stand/s).

As a bonus I got a - RED !!! - Meinl Laser Ride in 20". So cool: it's a cymbal in the 'matching' colour ...! :D
