That was why I said 8-lug Coliseum- That drum may even sound better in certain applications, as it has that much less hardware on it. I have a 14" Tama Imperialstar concert tom that's awaiting the conversion. I was hoping the lug bolt span on the single and double-ended lugs was the same, but no dice...I don't think they made a Luan snare.

The Coliseum as far as I know has always been 12 lug (mine is and my last one was).

Wow... 12 lug? Honestly, I've never had a "real" one in my hands... only catalog pictures! I just assumed 10-lug from the pictures. Anyway, again, that's why I've leaned more to calling this a "custom" drum instead of a "reproduction."

I'm still going to tackle a "slotted" Coliseum model in the future!
