1976 Rogers kit - what is its' worth???

Loading...

Hi there-

I have a random question for ya's - I have a 1976 Rogers 6 piece drum

kit I'm looking to sell (2 floor toms, 2 rack toms, snare, and the

larger of the kick drums, paiste hi-hats, paiste ride, and a

16" paiste crash) - all the hardware is all there, except for

the bass drum pedal. The drums are not stained/painted wood - they are that

black laminate material. They are a little worn, being 30+ years

old. The heads are old- and need to be replaced. I have no idea what to ask for this kit - and I'm looking for

advice. I don't know the serial no. or the model off hand but I

could figure it out if it would help - I also have pictures I could

e-mail you if this would help. Please let me know if you have any

suggetions what-so-ever, anything would help. - Even a ball park

number! Thanks for your time!

Hi. Your best bet is to post the pictures on this thread. That way more people will chime in.

Personally, it sounds like a similar set I had. Mine was in great shape and I sold it complete with two memriloc cymbal stands, a throne, snare stand...all shells in black wrap. This was ten years ago, mind you. It sold for $700.00 on consignment. The store took 20% of that price. I was sad to see it go, but I didn't play rock music anymore and it was a monster rock kit ("Ultra Power Seven) -not power toms, though...trad sizes. today that kit would have sold for probably closer to a grand...but it was in VERY excellent condition. I have seen sets from that era that didn't get treated as well as I treated mine.

So, to recap: Post some detailed pictures here at the forum and we'll take a stab at giving you a ballpark figure.Burger Kin
