1976 Ludwig Hollywood Black Panther

Loading...

Ludwig "Hollywood" drum kit in original black panther wrap, sizes 22x14, 12x8, 13x9, and 16x16. Bass drum spur holes were enlarged to take the larger, later Ludwig spurs which are currently on this kit. Small dent in the top hoop of the 13" rack tom and a small split in the bottom reinforcement ring. The 12" also has a small split in the bottom. The heads fit a little tight on both sides of the floor tom, and the wrap has a little lift at the seam. Both mounts on the toms are the newer ludwig style with the bigger wing nut - no spare holes as they fit they old style holes, just making them easier to tighten without a tool. Wrap has some scratches and dings, but still looks killer. Original hoops all around. All mufflers are present and in working order. Three-ply shell construction with granitone interiors. This is a born-together, factory-matched kit. Serials are as follows: 1194161 (12"), 1194166 (13"), 1194434 (16"), and 1194146 (22").

Photo upload isn't working - here's a link to some photos on my site. $1275 shipped

Yes, that is always the favorite question.

That is what I was wondering.

Did you "Peek" yet.

Got mine for $750 CDN, all original, in awesome shape...and no, no CM wrap underneath, I checked. It's been known to happen though, there's a thread over on DFO, with a guy who got one. Good score for him.

I'm sure Chris checked for the citrus wrap. I just wonder if it'd sell for more uncovered and in mint condition, or as a hidden wrap.

Well being a Beatles album collector, the infamous Butcher Cover album Yesterday and Today is most valuable in the "unpeeled" state, meaning the album still has the harmless paste-over slick photo adhered to the controversial butcher photo. Knowing it's there but leaving the album untouched.
