1975 Sonor Phonics 7 piece Last viewed: 1 hour ago

13/14/15/16 toms and an 18 floor tom & 22 kick. One owner, never gigged. This is right before I rebuilt the kit and turned it into a 13/14/18/22. Came with a D505 snare. I only paid $700 for all 7 drums, plus it came with 2 double tom stands. I did have to drive from central Ohio to Washington DC to pick them up (12 hrs round trip). This kit sounds like an 88mm flak cannon! The 13 & 14 had no bottom bearing edges, so I had to have them cut to be able to use resonant heads. I still plan on turning the 16 concert tom into another double headed tom. Just need to find 8 more locking lugs.

It's hard to see a kit like that go to the butcher. I can only hope he leaves that 505 alone.

Hey, nitwit (OddBall): concert toms sound like coffee cans. Maybe YOU think white noise is musical & pleasant to listen to, but no one else does. Every drum deserves a resonant head. Otherwise, it's just making so much noise, not rhythms. A fundamental tone needs a harmonic to blend with. Or you're just hammering nails.

It's not my fault you don't know what you're doing or talking about. But you deserve to be told at the least.
