1972/73 Royal Star in WMP

Hello,

This is my last restoration project (I swear ...):

a Royal Star in 22/12/13/16 plus Star metal snare drum from the same era.

All resonant side parts from the toms were missing when I bought it, but I was really lucky finding - just one week later - another Star set, where the resonant sides were missing as well (but all shells were stripped) - so I made one complete out of two half kits ...

Genuine Royal Star badge exists only on the bass drum (I refrained to use my Star replacement badges, which are stamped with 'Star' only, for the three toms).

Cheers, Ralf

Hi Ralf!

Just a beautiful kit! Love the Free-O-Matic tom holder!

Nice job Ralf. They look great! Don't let it be your last restoration project though. Keep 'em coming.

Good job, Ralf. Since I've played Pearl all my drumming life, I'm always interested in MIJ & related. There is something pleasing about the simple elegance of a set like yours. Thanks for sharing. D.
