The old Amati tom (with 70's Pearl style hardware) is good sounding. 3 ply beech shell with beech reinforcement rings.

Did you re-ring it, or did it come with re-rings? I don't recall seeing any re-rings on 70s Amati.

This Amati from the 60's. In the 60's Amati made the shells 3 ply beech with beech rings. Later not made this shell construction.
